Update as of June 4, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. CST

We want to provide an update on COVID-19 and its impact within our Harbour’s Edge community. We learned on Thursday, June 4, that one of our team members tested positive for the virus. At this time there are no resident cases of the virus in our community.

As previously communicated, the Florida Department of Health has asked that all skilled nursing communities test their residents and team member for COVID-19. Harbour’s Edge is scheduled to begin resident and team member testing in our health center on June 5. Therefore, please do not be concerned if you or your loved one are asked to undergo testing. Residents may decline COVID-19 testing, and any results will be shared confidentially with the resident and/or their responsible party.
As a reminder, Lifespace and Harbour’s Edge are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, wear facemasks and exercise proper hand hygiene. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Harbour’s Edge management team. Thank you for your continued understanding, support and adherence to our safety protocols.
