We want to share an update on COVID-19 and its impact within our Harbour’s Edge community. We learned Saturday, June 27, that our Health Center resident who previously tested positive for the virus received a false positive test result from the testing lab. Therefore, we only have one active resident case of the virus in our community at this time and this resident is being cared for in the hospital.

We currently have four team members who previously tested positive for the virus. These team members continue to self-isolate at home with the support of our Human Resources team.

We understand that you have questions and concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community through the implementation of extensive infection control and prevention measures.

Cases of COVID-19 have increased in South Florida, and Lifespace and Harbour’s Edge are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, and proper hand hygiene. Like Harbour’s Edge, most businesses in the surrounding area require the use of face coverings or masks when interacting with groups of people in public spaces, so please be prepared when leaving our community.

As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community. We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members.

Please contact your Harbour’s Edge management team with questions and concerns.

Thank you for your continued support.
